How did you make the crowd?

its a simple hair particle system. directly below the road is a second mesh for emitting humans all over the place.

This is amazing! How much does it take you to build something like this?

I dont know... its to old... for the entire scene? including tons of houses and characters that need to be placed... maybe roundabout 10hrs

Well, to me, an accomplished architectural visualization
with not a soul in sight —not even a cat— is a source of endless frustration.

In your case, above, you put an entire crowd: that is rare,
even though it’s what you expect to see when you actually go into town:
compare street photography with 3D models of street scenes!

Your scene is definitely solace, for me.

What? MORE shots?   :wow:

But, be careful. Here: sultan ahmed mosque [LowPoly][shot04] by Mezaka
you need more polys
for the people in the foreground.

Yeah... its more like an additional image. These People and Assets were never really meant to look good from first person view, but i really wanted to try that and share the result =)
If i were to make this into a new scene i would add a hell lot more detail and place the people by hand, so they dont look like theyre just randomly placed.
But all in all: thank you for your detailed and helpfull feedback!

Your “random” placement actually looks fine to me.

How many vertices each figure?

459 verts and 878 triangles... though that character is still in development. But it works fine on a small scale

Ask mCasual how he multiplies his Aiko 3! Applaudbots - 192 aikos by mCasual

i tried different methods but nowadays there's Instances in Daz Studio4

---

i used non-published scripts that make many nodes share the same DzObject
and it had a tendency to crash Daz Studio upon exiting or loading the scene

i also saved the Aikos as obj files, in 5 different poses
then i had a script swap them, so each one of the dozens of
Aiko statues switch seats during an applause cycle

Very nice! Its more pleasant to look at it than the other version. Maybe its the colors and that the focus is more on the foreground.

indeed... i tried to achieve the depth effect using an atmopheric absorption rather than a blur. that combined with the new colors makes it a lot cleaner and less chaotic.
